The Finals: One more game

One more, fellas.

Dirk deserves the ring. He's worked hard all his career. Never sold out, never one of those players people really hated. His drive to win, his attitude in the game and his skill-set as a whole during the entire playoffs are unparalleled. Combine that with the contrasting sense of humility and soft-spoken persona, you have yourself one of the greatest players to ever play the game. Disagree? I dunno, I could Wiki some stats, but why? He was the best overall player in the Western Conference this post-season. And this is still with Kobe and Durant on their respective teams. It would also be nice for Dallas' veteran players to finally get one as well. More after the jump.

Miami...hmmm...there are reasons why there are haters. It's not because of their level of individual talent and because they are "Super Good", because they're not. I mean, yes, they are in the Finals, but Lebron James took the Cavs, a mediocre team, to the Finals as well. These guys SHOULD be drilling teams and should be "breaking the Bulls 1996 record" like people claimed they would. But the attitude and arrogance and the the way they approach the game are things that irks people the most. Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon. These are names of players in a recent era, that fall into a pool of people who "did it".

They are players who have a certain drive and attitude that make them champions. They are players that are on the all time great list because what they have done, not only individually, but what they've done for their teams and for the game. They are out to beat the competitor. They won't walk around running press, partying with celebrities, or taking anytime off in improving their game. They aren't spoiled brats with a sense of entitlement and they don't have the "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" type attitude. The drive and work ethic is unmatched and something the big 3 on the Heat lack greatly. You don't see any of the greatest players stacking teams to win rings. They work with what they have, continue to do better and strive for it.

As for the Heat. Wade is a champion and is the best player on the team. Lebron is a great basketball player in an athletic point of view. Everything else is missing - drive, attitude, maturity etc. How can you score 2 points in the 4th quarter and brick major shots in a must-win situation? And Bosh? Well, Chris Bosh sucks. He sucks on this team and doesn't belong there. I used to love these players. But because you decide to say to yourselves "Well, I can't rings, so I'll team up with a group of people and do it that way" then declare 7 championships before training camp, slump after the All-Star break and whine and cry in the locker room is borderline retarded behavior. None of you should win a ring like this.

Go Dallas.
